I couldn't read his books after the outline description of discworld. It just winds me up! Perhaps a world could actually be a microcosm that lives unwittingly on an organism but he spoiled it by it being held up by elephants on the back of a turtle. Don't they ever sleep, how do they eat? Wouldn't they get bored and walk off? What if the turtle rolls over, surely everything would fall off.

I'm sorry but if I were Mr Pratchett's English teacher I would have told him to become a monk instead of a writer and if I were his Geography and Sciencea teacher I would have to change jobs.

I have recently discovered that there are a worryingly large number of people, mostly stupid Americans as far as I can tell (no offence to my Stateside brethren), that believe the Earth isn't a Globe but a Disc?!? I just can't get my head around it!
Bizarrely it's not just that though but also Space and the known and unknown vastness that is the Universe is all a lie and basically NASA and all the other countries' space agencies are a sham and all missions to space including the I.S.S. and Hubble are not real!
Since the first one in 1969 there have been people that claim the Moon Landings were faked but that was down to how far fetched and Sci-fi the idea was at the time. The new theory is that what is known of outer-space is not real. If any of you are among us and are willing to admit it I'm interested what could cause this belief?

I tend to get into some heated discussions on The Old Facebook with the flat earth nut jobs. I just get so wound up by them. They dismiss every single scientific fact and when you ask them how they got their information to support their claims the reply is usually, Google it.
There’s a group of them that claim that the earth has a dome over it and the stars are lights. So like, who built the dome? Who put it in place? And when one of the bulbs/stars goes out who gets up on the ladder and replaces it? Look on YouTube for Mark Sargent if you dare. He’s their main man and a total fruit loop.
