Is our Great club jinxed?

Cursed no.

Run by clowns for 20+ years, yes.

I know this is a bit of laugh but blues will do anything to avoid the real issues.

Baron Samedi lives in bills plantpot in his house. Bill owes him some kind voodoo debt after one of his crazy capers on a james bond film set.

Not jinxed but burdened with unrealistic expectations.
We used to be amazing and our heritage still counts, but only so far.
We have similar early history and profile to sides like Villa and Arsenal. The main difference being we carried on winning stuff.
But after the mid 80s Villa went properly south, Arsenal improved and we stagnated.
It comes down to relative financial competence and management standards throughout the club.
The Johnson era followed by the Kenwright Age ruined us and I fear we will never get back up where we should be again in my lifetime.
I fear you are right; the train carrying the elite has long left the station. Everton missed that train and is now travelling in a hay cart pulled by a donkey.

Definitely jinxed, two world wars broke out just as we were crowned champions. Best Everton team ever 85 coincided with European ban.
Hanson hand ball 84, Bryan Hamilton 77 semi final.
Southall getting injured in title run in in 86 costs us the double in my opinion.
Endless players getting leg breaks in the last few years,Oviedo,Coleman now Mccarthy,Bolasie also out a year just after signing.
The list goes on for our misfortune.
We have had our fair share of bad luck, but plenty of good luck in staying in the top flight (Hans Segers).

..nope but you should’ve been in the Kippax when Bryan Hamilton’s ‘goal’ was disallowed. We had a stroke of luck against Wimbledon and against Bolton when we could’ve got relegated so it’s not all bad luck.

Nothing to do with the custodians, fans or players.

I vaguely remember someone putting a hoodoo on the club or ground.

What else can explain our wretched luck.
Cubs fan here, as well as a longtime denizen of these parts. Take it from me, there's no future in the curse ploy.

You want to go 100+ years without hardware, go the curse route, ok?

None of that. Ixnay on the urscay.
