nice cinemas round your way - its £6 to £8 round here.
i went out of my way to catch the full lord of the rings trilogy at the cinema before watching it anywhere else, i got to the cinema for the experience - the big screen, the brilliant sound, getting gauged like a [Poor language removed] for popcorn (5 [Poor language removed] quid! fuckers!!!) catching the trailers, spotting the knob head in the same screen room.
UCI owned the big cinema round here, ODEON have since taken it over, give me the odeon cinema that was in town where i caught many many films as a kid, modern cinemas are sterile and have no character. (the plot where the old odean used to be standing now has a crap wine bar stood on it - what a backwards step that was)
i live in warrington and cinemas/picture houses were a dime a dozen once, 'mr smiths' used to be a ritz cinema.
warrington had plenty of cinemas/picture houses because of the old air base and that during the war the town was full of americans.
