Is this the season for Harry Kane?

Would love him to come back to England after this and break that odious tosser Shearer's record.

I'd think the chances of that are slim now. He's about 50 goals behind Shearer, turns 32 this summer, and with his record in Munich they're not going to let him go cheap. I don't see any of the current top 6 being willing to pay what Bayern would want to sell him either. So if he did return it would be for a smaller club which would probably limit his goals per season.

Haaland will be the one to break that record injuries permitting.

He's got a very generous release clause coming up, it's about £50m.

So ive no doubt in mind, he'll be trying to get back and do it.

Especially if he wins the CL with Bayern this season.

Fair enough.. but who would be willing to spend 50M on him plus 100-200k a week wages at 32? Looking from the top of the table downwards.. The RS wouldn't pay it, its too far from Moneyball. I'm doubting he wants to be the next Sol Campbell and go to Arsenal. Forest are too close to PSR limits from what I know and probably not of interest to Kane. I can't see City doing it or him being willing to be No2 to Haaland. He's about 12 years too old for Chelsea, Geordie Arabia perhaps but only if they sold Isak for 100M+ and I don't see that happening. Bournemouth couldn't afford the fee or his wages, Brighton could possibly afford him if they sold a few players but not their type of signing. Villa possibly if they don't sign Rashford, but PSR would be a factor too and I don't know if he'd be willing to go there. Of the bottom half there's only going back to Spurs which I can't see Levy agreeing to that sort of outlay for his age, ManU which has PSR issues also and I can't see Amorim being interested, and possibly us, but I'm doubting Kane agrees to that regardless of whether we can afford him and strengthen the rest of the team as needs be.

I also suspect if he was that bothered with that record he'd never have left the PL and just gone to ManU instead of Munich. After going so long without winning anything I'd also suspect he'd prefer being a sure thing to win something every season staying where he is.

If I was him I'd stay in Europe. Whether with Bayern or someone else.

Barca paid €45-50m for Lewandowski when he was 32 as well I believe.

Kane's not had any major injuries and seems to take good care of his body, no reason to dismiss him because of age currently.

However, I want someone to perform the same dirty tricks he does so he can get proper injured like he's done to several players down the lines, the odious tit.

You deserved a 'like' for the hard work put into that post, it makes sense what you've said but I suspect he will be back to the EPL at some time by ever which way.
