Isco can play in plenty of positions, enough to justify his signature, be worth the £18 Million to see him control a football, his first touch is that majestic.

I agree we need a winger with pace but this would see the end of Sigurdsson and who isn't for that.

When played regularly he can add goals and assists, and if he helps us get Europe we will need more quality to deal with the games next season.

I think there was always going to be a queue of clubs in for him even without Madrid trying to up the ante mate.

I thought the same about James in fairness and looks like we had a free run at him in the end.

Can count Arsenal out for now at least, they spent big on Partey on deadline day. It would be maybe Spurs with Mourinho you'd have to watch out for.

tbf we are playing with 2 every single match regardless. So it's either Gylfi/Gomes or Isco. Isco is obviously a big upgrade.

Excellent player but should we not be looking to sign a 22 or 23 year old who can be the next Isco.
Our profile has already been raised substantially by signing JR and I expect signing Isco would be very expensive.
Not a signing I think we will be making.

Not necessarily. Francis Jeffers' best days were when he was about 18, for example.

But that said, he's only 28 and he's absolutely brilliant. Anyone turning up their nose at Isco when we have the Icelandic ghost starting games is mental.
