Speaking of United, fun facts for you guys that aren't well versed in multiple sports:

Man U's fans complain about the club spending too much money and being in a dire financial situation. Currently Man U is ranked near the top of the league.

Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans (NFL/Gridiron) complain about the club not spending enough money and being too stingy. Currently the Buccaneers are ranked near the bottom of the NFL.

What does this have to do with anything?

Both teams are owned by the Glazers. :D

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but this is an intersting tidbit that some might not have known. (y)

Let Us Hug Glazer?

Love United Hate Glazer

Excessive Merchandising, TV deals, A trade price put on loyalty and tradition. Bought our club in a hostile takeover using money borrowed at credit card rates just so he could bleed it dry. Declared his interest in buying our club on the anniversary of the Munich air crash. Opened up an ice-rink at Old Trafford the day George Best died. Not a proper billionaire and every penny of the money borrowed by Glazer to buy the club has to be paid back by us, the fans who make up the club, plus interest of around £62 million a year. Increased ticket prices, etc etc etc

Wow! That's all news to me. Did the Glazers make those moves on those anniversary dates on purpose, or were they just coincidences? I mean if we're being realistic, do you think the Glazers went out of their way to make those events on those same dates?

One thing that is glaringly obvious at this point is that the Glazers are hated on two continents.
