At least we've got Europa League sewn up. No chance United will catch us now.
Well hopefully, this is Everton.
 
Amazing to think that on the 5th of June so many people laughed when Roberto Martinez told us all that he would bring Champions League football, yet here we are, a month away from the end of the season, sitting in 5th, 4 points behind 4th place with a game in hand.

If we win all of our remaining games it's ours. That's nice to know at least.

Come on Everton, let's be ruthless.

Usually I'd think from this position and at this stage of the season we'd start to fade by now, but we've got the squad depth and talent to keep it going. Arsenal lack options off the bench at the moment, especially with their injuries. We brought on 3 substitutes today and all 3 had a big part in a goal. We're so far away from the Moyes era already.

We've got a bloody tough run in but we've got as good a chance as we've ever had, if not better.

If the games in the balance with 30 minutes left mate, i know which bench is likely to have the biggest say in the result and its not arsenals ;)

Agreed. It's great isn't it. I love the way we approach games now. I fully believe that Martinez leaves players on the bench that are probably 100% fit and dying to play, specifically to bring them on late on and cause havoc, even if that makes the starting XI weaker. He's about planning for the whole 90+ minutes.

I hope Stones gives Arteta a big toey up his hoop too. Teach him a lesson.
 

I have had a look at the run in for the teams currently 4th to 7th and I think it is very possible that we might end up level with Arsenal on 75/77 points provided we don't lose any of the last 7 games. GD is therefore vital.

I think United will struggle to get more than 66/67 pts with spurs getting about 70.

I agree mate i think he factors in the bench as important as times as the starter for the impact and chooses the starting team with an eye on that
 
I think it's definitely on. Instead of concentrating on teams around us hoping for slip ups let's just concentrate on ourselves. We are on an amazing run and the old cliche of 'let's take it one game at a time' comes to mind. If we just take each game as they come, keep winning and keep picking up points then we can see where we are. Lower teams are fighting for their lives and as you've seen already with the palace win against chelsea yesterday I think theres still a lot more twists and turns left in the season than people think.

Let's keep playing sexy football, keep winning then we won't have to count on other results and hopefully the late twists and turns in the season will go our way.

I remember Martinez at the start of the season saying 'I will get Everton into the champions league'. Everyone laughed (including myself) I honestly thought a mid table finish would be good for us. Look at us now chasing a champions league position with a new sexy football identity. Just imagine bobby did it in his first season with the little resources he's had.

Loving the optimism, let's take a game at a time, keep winning because ... It's definitely on!

Yeah I think he does for sure. Having players of McGeady's and Mirallas' quality to come off the bench is great. We've never had that before.
