is the defending team answer baseball. the pitcher could throw 4 "balls" wide of the plate and the batter gets to walk to base, do this 4 times and the batting team get a run on the board.

Along the same line of thinking, I thought maybe cricket - bowling wides and all that...

There was an Everton quiz on the official site a few months ago with really good articulate questions and nobody even attempted it, or did not know the answers.

apparently, wasn't relevant enough or did not fit into topic. :blink::(
