Goodison is slowly going to ruin. theres no two ways about it.

The [Poor language removed] are building afresh on stanley park.

We will not be shuffled off out of the city.

Lets buy anfield and moved the blue seats in, and repaint it blue. Bigger capacity, better facilities, and a return to our former home.

Great idea but then I'm sure there are already plans to tear it down and put in a strip mall will all of the big box names in order to wipeout locally owned businesses.

weigh up the pro's and cons.

increased capacity? yes
better corporate facilities? yes
in the city? yes
huge cost? no

We can take it on short term and see what options become available in 5 or 10 years time.

goodison is holding us back, anfield would be an improvement, not perfect, but an improvement.

the question is, how much do you really want to resituate in kirkby?

Have had similar thoughts.. but almost immediately another thought came to mind when reading posts where Everton supporters have explained their reasons for making a no vote is being ridiculed by Liverpool fans.

How do you think the Liverpool fans will take it when the other big club in the city moves into the stadium they've deemed unworthy? I can certainly hear things like: "Everton take our leftovers", "Not having the cash to get their own stadium you are happy with our rejects."

I fear a move to Anfield is wrong, not because those sentences. But because we need a stadium that will enable us to compete at the highest lvl, and Anfield isn't that. And if we move there we have to move again soon anyway.... and I think it will cost us more to move there than to move to Kirkby... and show youngsters that we're not prepared to take up the battle with Liverpool or the other top teams in the country.

stay at goodison and see what comes up in 5 years! moving to anfield... my god man! sun stroke??

Increased capacity? Yes
Better facilities? Yes
Good enough facilities? NO
In the city? Yes
Huge cost? Yes, will cost more than a move to Kirkby since Liverpool won't just give it to us and we have to renovate it as well to make it ours.

Yes the stadium was ours long ago.. but we need to look forward, not look back and return to the past.

we are being chased out of the city because we cant financially compete.

anfield is built, its needs a tidy, but would be an improvement.

we cant afford a world class stadium, we arent getting one in kirkby.

we need possibilities, the negativity toward moving to kirkby cant be un noticed.

goodison is holding us back, anfield would give us an increase in everyway compared to goodison, and would allow us time and slightly more resources to get ourselves together.

liverpool will have to sell at a fair rate, the council will be in on the deal as well.

like you said, good enough facilities? NO, but superior to what we have now.

Leave the city of our birth or go back to the stadia of our birth.

if you know your history.

1. We are chased out? Perhaps. But in that case... why stay if they don't want us if it's not good for the club?

2. Anfield exists yes, but it's not good enough for us to start to seriously compete... if it was why would Liverpool move from there?

3. Perhaps not... but we are getting a great stadium for a very low cost.

4. And the negativity going to Anfield can?

5. Anfield would hold us back as well.. it won't give us increase in everyway. It's a step back when we need to go forth.

if you know your history.

Dont' start throwing that in the face of others just because they don't agree with you. I've been a fan of this club for more than 20 years.. in thick and thin, even though noone else here supports them.

What we need to do is move forward to continue to create a proud history, not look at our previous greatness.

its a step forward compared to goodison, and its in the city boundary.

thats it. they are moving because they can afford to move, and them upping the capacity on their new build the instant the takeover happened is as clear an indication as ever that they fancy some of our fans.

anfield has less obstructed views, holds more at capacity, had modern facilities (toilets, corporate)

it would give us a chance to stabilise, instead of cowering in kirkby whilst the red machine eats up liverpool in its entirity.

if you know your history. that was tied into the following

Leave the city of our birth or go back to the stadia of our birth.

everton are the original club of liverpool, not kirkby, not knowsley. we were born in liverpool, moving us to kirkby could be the final shot that sees our death.

Certainly wouldn't be a bad move. It would be an improvement on Goodison i mean our new stadium is only a few thousand more seats than Anfield has currently. Once Liverpool have vacated it, it wouldn't be theres to sell, it would be vacant as its part of Liverpool city council i believe.

I wouldn't mind moving there. If anything it would rub their nose in it because there memories there would be tainted.
