I keep harlequin rasbora mostly but am looking for something else to put in with them. I like the continuity of having a species only or a nearly species only tank.

I've split a couple of double stars with my telescope but it's not great for deep sky objects so I'll be buying a 10 inch dobsonian reflector later in the year. The wife doesn't know that's it's 5 ft long and 10 inches in diameter. It's gonna be hilarious when this bazooka turns up.

Dwarf Gouramis would work well enough with Harlequin Rasbora, wouldn't they? Or are you thinking of tetras?

That's a serious piece of equipment, along with the swimming kids, do you find yourself having less time for football in general and do you miss it?

"Nemo" fish are clown fish and are marine (salt water) specific. Tropical fish are fresh water such as neon tetra etc.

Marine fish are the most beautiful and have iridescent and fluorescent colours but they are hugely demanding with needing to measure salinity levels in the water etc.

You should check out African Cichlids. They're beautiful freshwater fish that are much easier easier keep.

Dwarf gourami would be fine but they're not what I'm looking for personally. Im looking at a bigger tank too but need to finish decorating and new flooring before putting a bigger tank in the room. Rasbora are asian fish and tetras are Amazonian and I'd like to keep it, loosely, regionally correct. It's not a strict biotope but I'm trying to source plants and hardscape that mimics the environment as best I can.

Stargazing isn't really an option in summer as it stays twilight until midnight mostly so it's not something I will resume until the clocks change again and all the best stuff, like Orion, are in the winter sky. If you stay up late you can catch Leo and Hercules in summer though.

I don't have much time for football these days. With traditional kick off times being a thing of the past I just can't make time.
