Last time I watched a video of a player before they signed it was Kudus, and I was gutted we didn't get him, so vowed in future not to watch anything of potential signings until they'd actually signed. This morning I watched a video of Harrison. Sorry everyone.

It's all you ever hear. When the window closes the recruitment team needs to look at themselves and ask whether it's been a success or failure. There's no in between.

You either have the talk and can close deals and convince championship lads to sign for you, or you can't.

If you're on your 5th and 6th choice targets and getting nowhere you're in the wrong job.

Not a medical but West Ham had both Onana and Borges all but signed until us and Ajax stole in

Medical though, you've got the player with you physically. All agreements are in place, you've spent weeks or months on the deal, yet you allow them to jilt you right at the death. It's pathetic, never heard anything like it before. If they're in for a medical, the only thing that should stop them signing is if the club isn't satisfied with the results and calls it off. Joke of a football club from top to bottom.
