He struggled last season, so I can't see Wenger shelling out big money. £16 mill is a good price to be fair, especially as we still have Yobo, but good defenders are hard to find at a much cheaper price regarding replacement. They can have Distin for £10m.

As long as your not picking the team we will be ok " it might be better for the club to loose arteta instead of pienarr because playing without pienarr in an unknown quantity plus we done ok without him last year " worst football shout of the decade end off

Hmm, so you're saying you wouldn't swap a team that finishes mid table pretty much every season, for a team that finishes in the top 4 of the league every year and gets to the quarters, semis and even final of the Champions League??

I admire your faith and optimism in your team but be realistic now....

we haven't finished mid table for 5 seasons now and before the season just gone we've always been the team closest to making the top four despite only being able to field our best XI intermittently, again i'm not having a go at you this is just my opinion

Wow, just wow.

When i left this thread last night it was a decent discussion with a sound Arsenal fan. Why are so many threads lately turning this way?

Don't understand the dislike for them either - they have a great stadium, great players, great manager and a great business model, everything we should be aiming for.

I would definatly have Arshavin, Fabregas, Vermalen, Van Persie, even Bentdner. They are a great club who i have a lot of respect for.

I would take Clichy, Sagna, Arshavin, Cesc and Van Penis, the rest arent bad, but dont rate them as much.

Damn i was starting to like you.

At least our team isn't full of overpaid, overhyped, full-of-themselves ****s like yours is. Every youngster that you have thinks he's the dogs bollocks. Well they may be able to do a stepover, but they can't do it when it really counts. Look at Niklas fukn Bendtner. What a ****. [Poor language removed] footballer, and he thinks he's great. The typical Arsenal mentality.

Enjoy winning nothing again next season.

tbh, the only reason we haven't haven't qualified for the champions league in the past three seasons is the ridiculous injury problems and disruptions to the squad we've had, if this pre-season goes swimmingly I think you'll find Everton finishing within the top four at the end of the season

Is it? I'd say it's probably more something to do with the fact that the teams above us have had outstanding players for about the last 10 years and we've only just now got a squad that's anywhere near them.

Mid Table? Have you been around for the past 5 years at least?

The GOT members have spoken. Why sell the best centre back in England to a rival?
There is no price, he is worth far more than Lescott and Arsenal will have to remortgage the Emirates to afford him.

Finally someone comes out with a major shout , best shout I've read on this site since signing up 4 weeks ago .

I agree with this, its great that the bar has been raised, but Arsenal are still 1 of our peers.

Quick question, who was the last team to destroy us at Home 6-1?
