I believe that's if they've had to go into the knee and have a look, which by our own luck is more than a possibilty.

Youd' think theirs an unwritten rule that Jags and Jonny cannot play together EVER, regardless of the very plausible reservations of the lack of height and the feeling that Moyes left/right rather than right right combination.
 
Hope the lad isn't injured. I guess the silver lining would be that all the transfer rumors regarding him would stop if he was. Still really hope he isn't injured! COYB

He's not injured.

Arse have agreed a deal with us and are just agreeing terms with Jags, thats why he's in London and can't play tomorrow.

As usual no comms from the club and nohing on the OS, the rumour will probably do the rounds for another couple of days before they decide to give us an update one way or the other.....we just pay their wages why bother updating us eh
 
Just seen fresh images of the squad preparing for Everton Chile tomorrow with Jags very much in the thick of the training.

Looks like these nasty rumours are just that...
 

Not exactly the most convincing statement from Jags, but whatever. As long as he knows he's going NOWHERE.

Everton defender Phil Jagielka has scotched rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal. "There's nothing I can do about the speculation, but the gaffer has pulled me aside and told me I'm not going anywhere," Jagielka told talkSPORT. "I'm happy with that. I'm an Everton player, I love playing for the club, and I'm just going to get on with my job there."

For me, starting the statement w/ "the gaffer has pulled me aside & told me I'm not going anywhere". THEN he says, "fine, love Everton, get on w/ the job, etc."

Maybe splitting hairs here, but if he truly had no interest whatsoever in a move, the first statement not only wouldn't have made, but Moyes pulling him aside wouldn't have been necessary in the first place. And even if he did have some interest, still seems like that statement isn't necessary...unless you're leaving a tiny bit of bait out there.

Again, nothing major. Just would've been nicer to hear, "I love Everton, couldn't be happier, rumors are nonsense." Period.

Maybe he was happy to hear that we had no intention of selling him...players need to feel wanted too you know. See Arteta's comments.
