….read a few comments that he’s positionally poor & despite his size not the best at clearing headers. It’ll be a major boost if Branthwaite stays, a 3rd CB usually gets game time and I suspect he’ll be a better defender at the end of the season than he is at the start.

He’s obviously massive. But the stats show he wins just over half of his header duels. However with the right coaching, which I think he will get under Dyche, he should improve massively.
 

I was lucky enough to see Jake in the flesh back during the pandemic when only 100 of us were allowed into Cork City games. He looked a talent then but was very very raw. Went to Palace and obviously improved a lot. Plenty of improvements left yet. Lovely lad and another Cork man who is also a diabetic but it dosent seem to affect him at all

He won’t lack confidence if he’s from Cork
