I think the starting back 4 is going to pick itself now as far as Moyes is concerned.

Certain games will require a more expansive formation, thats when I suspect he uses Patto.

Moyes likes the look of Patto, can see him nailing down a spot in the next month.

So long as he doesn`t start giving him a friendly slap across his head in front of the rest of the team, that didn`t go down well for the last gaffer.

Moyes likes him so much he picks a Centreback ahead of him.

His senior coach, the best fullback this club has had this century who has watched Patto for the last 3 years has either agreed with Moyes about selecting a centreback in front of him or he has no faith in him to argue with Moyes. These people watch him daily in training.

We as fans don't get to see him train on a daily basis so this is what happens.

There's only about 5 clubs in the world that aren't a selling club, he will end up with someone big within a season or two no matter if we are financially sound or not because that's just what happens these days. Liverpool look the best option currently. It's a shame that's how football is because there's potential in an immense partnership between OBrien and Branthwaite.
