Like see more from him at cb and hopefully see him carry the ball forward more at cb as it looks like has it in him. If keep branthwaite maybe see a 3 at the back maybe but agree looks a great buy

Me being the eternal pessimist is thinking Tarkowski and his injury may mean we will have to go with the two giant kids in the middle at the start of next season.

Perhaps that could be a good thing?

Tarkowski only has a year on his deal. I suspect it gets extended 12months but he'll need to force his way back into the 11 and that should push the other 2 CBs further as well.

Perhaps these 2 giant kids are going to be the future and theres only one way to find out. Wonder how they'll do vs Delap and Isak.

I thought he started very slow if I’m honest, he was caught a few times up the pitch and one or two other technical things, he grew into it though.

All in, he did alright.

He didn't waste the opportunity mate, I thought personally he done fine in those couple of pre season friendlies and even scored a few goals.

….i liked Jackson today, he came deep, he spun, he looked after the ball in possession and scored a terrific goal but I was really taken with our CB pairing.

With both our full backs badly exposed, O’Brien and Branthwaite both covered behind them whilst also dealing with anything thrown into the box.

We know how good Branthwaite is but that was a huge plus from O’Brien today, Moyes will be delighted if both those CBs are here next season.

wasted his opportunity. He was barely given a chance at all which is the reality. Plus when a boss doesnt like a player, he wont play him anywhere near as much as he should.

I thought they were ok and maybe more fairly grew into it - given they haven’t played together as a pair before.

Thought they were split once or twice to easy, felt the line was high at times and on different day could have been exposed, while I thought Jake was caught up the pitch once or twice caught behind the play particularly first half.

Thought they both grew into it though.

Mitigation as you that the full backs got Mullard!
