Jam is good with peanut butter on thick bread.

Apart from that I don't see a need for it this day in age.

Jam may be incredibly flexible in its uses and varieties, but in no way should it ever be placed next to peanut butter.

A lack of appreciation of jam is to be pitied. Apricot jam as a filling for sponge cake cannot be beaten.
