People genuinely think the lad played well tonight? One superb tackle out on the flank, one class block. They had 21 shots on goal, our back four had no protection second half. He didn't want to take responsibility for the ball (neither did Barry) which meant our CB's had possession far too often. I don't think I've seen our 2 screeners more anonymous than that second half.

I thought he had a great game.

You must remember the standard of opposition. Wolfsburg are a genuinely top team,within a whisker of being in the CL. You do not beat teams of this quality and pedigree easily. Of course they will create chances, they are top players.

I would prefer to focus on Everton, just now. A serious team ...a serious squad.
 
Thought he was alright. Plays people in to trouble occasionally though, needs to cut that out. Can't question his commitment and desire though.
