When is this article from as I heard a interview with Martinez this morning who said McCarthy was in full training. He also spoke about Lennon so it could only have been yesterday or this morning.

Aye get him smoking those Horse placentas like the Chelsea lot, they never get injured.
Chelsea are amamzing, Costa's hamstrings were twanging like crazy in Spain but he's managed to survive playing almost every game during a British winter just fine.

Time stamped Wed 4th Feb 10.30pm UK time. Andy Hunter seems to have pretty good links inside the club so unfortunately think it is true.

James McCarthy’s hopes of making his first Everton appearance of the year in Saturday’s Merseyside derby are almost certainly over after he suffered another injury setback.

The Republic of Ireland midfielder, Everton’s most influential player before aggravating a hamstring problem in November, was aiming to return from his latest absence against Liverpool at Goodison Park. But the 24-year-old may be out for another fortnight after suffering a recurrence of the problem in training.

Forget the fortnight rubbish. If he is out for the rest of the season so be it. Get it looked at by someone and treated properly....long term.

Yeah, at a certain point you stop pushing him to be ready as soon as possible.

That point is when it reoccurs the first time.

Sideline him until he's 100%. Then sideline him a few more weeks to be sure.
Agree. I would have taken this measure after the 2nd time, 3rd absolute max.
