McCarthy is already top class. Whereas we talk about Stones and Barkley having the potential to be top drawer - the James boy is already there. Alongside Coleman and Lukaku, McCarthy is up there to stand serious international comparisons.

We are such a stronger team with him in the mix. Top lad and hopefully a future captain for the next decade.

Besic is a more than capable deputy when fit, and will hopefully be able to partner McCarthy in midfield for the foreseeable future (if/when Barry is phased out - but he's been superb so that shouldn't be any time soon)
