so if you aren't Scottish as you say, why are you so obsessed with who he wants to play with internationally...seems to me it is none of your business

No Scottish that i now of in my ancestary.

I'm actually more Irish than McCarthy, so i can rightfully as a half Irish person ( which he is not ) call him Scottish ( Which he is )

He seems more Irish to me than you do! People can't decide where they are born... he obviously resonates with being Irish otherwise he wouldn't declare for Ireland... you don't resonate with Ireland so can't be more Irish than him... again though, why do you care so much about it?

Its a stupid rule, grandparents and that. Should be parents only.

James's mum and dad were both born and raised in Scotland so ergo he is Scottish. Its that simple.

it's not that simple at all... my ex was born in ireland to irish parents grew up mostly in London then moved to ireland and has spent much more time in ireland than in England but regards herself as English...why? Who cares, she just does and it's her business! That's how things work...what resonates with people, not others drawing lines in the sand on flags and especially not campaigners on a forum

He is Scottish though mate, it's quite simple really.
