Donegal is part of the Republic simple as that. Province wise Ulster country wise Republic.
But either way even if it were NI. That means he could be Irish or British (good friday agreement). Either way your argument is invalid.

Everyone from where I grew up sounds Scottish to be fair.
That he was no one disputes that.
His Grandparents were Irish and so he said that he would rather play for Ireland seen as he qualified due to an Irish rule.
Get over it!! You seem bitter that he rejected the nation of birth. Its called dual nationality he chose the second country.
