What are your memories of McFadden at Everton?

Was so inconsistent.

Some of his best performances are among the best I've seen as a supporter, but if he wasn't up for it - it was obvious.

That goal against Charlton should have won goal of the season, but it is what it is.

Remember him tearing it up against Leeds in 2003 when we beat them 4-0 (the Steve Watson hattrick).

I was out in town after the match and some old fella said to me "are you that James McFadden?"

The one and only time I've been mistaken for a professional footballer!

His debut was a few days earlier (against Stockport and we won 1-0) and he was absolutely fantastic in that game too. Then when the Leeds game happened, I was like "jesus, the kid is unreal" 😆

Yeah, we had the English Rooney and the Scottish Rooney... until we realised we didn't... then in no time at all, we had neither!

Tore Gary Kelly a new one on his home debut, then very little else!!the Charlton late winner and a blammo at the street end against a team I can’t remember!!!
