James Milner wants to leave Villa

Poor form from the tit, he looks like something from an arl Hovis advert so I don't think Villa will be too arsed.

City must have some wage bill, that's going to seriously pop one day.

I kind of forgot about the Barry saga....just speaking to a Villa fan, telling him how his summer will be ruined if Milner goes after the seasons started, the he reminded me.

Some wage bill, but when will the MASS exodus happen?

Its a conundrum wrapped in an enigma...

"...Wrapped in a vest"? The one about Nelson?
Anyway, he started at Leeds and I think got relegated with them (not easy for a young player) then went to Newcastle (not easy for anyone with a soul) and I think signed full with Villa in 2007. So he has had 3 years there. Barry was a first teamer for 10 years wasn't he? Turn of the year the talk was Man utd were in for him with a big deal for Villa and him (can see why with Giggs, Scholes and Hargreaves set for imminent retirement) coupled with the fact that O'Neill took ages to sign up for more at Villa himself after getting arsey about transfer policy and wage structure (allegedly!).
On a personal level, he is likely to be doubling his wages through, which is a mighty fine proposition, the luckiest footballers make it to the top level and play internationally, and of them only a select percentage play at clubs that can pay them tens of millions. This summers World Cup was enough to disenchant the most in-love-with-the-game-player. Villa have more to be pissy about over the Barry saga than Milner. Who have they signed yet? Where is the ambition? Spurs and City have upped the game and third and fourth places are in their sights for the coming season. Premier League is in transition, Liverpool are all at sea, Arsenal have big problems in defence and with Fabregas, as well as just losing what was a fine striker. Cyclical system, just that revolutions have increased in terms of time.
