It was reported originally in most places as £22m (I assume based on 25m euros).

Then BBC reported yesterday it was around £12m

Either way, we signed James Rodriguez

Supposedly Real have a sell on clause but wanted to get rid of his high wages and were worried that he would turn other moves down so they were willing to let him go for free.
