That pass to Richy would qualify had DCL not pushed the ball to goal and the ball gone wide
When? You mean DCL's 2nd goal?

Hmm well yeah....but then we would also not have scored a goal in that moment....

Depends if the ball from Richy was counted as a shot - most xA models only count when a shot was taken. There are non-shot ones that measure how dangerous *any* type of pass is though I think.
Generally, chance created/key pass is nothing like as useful as xA
The most ridiculous is Rodrigo in there. The others, while no better than James are either stars or promising players like Havertz and Torres and have gone to City, Chelsea, Utd, Spurs and the rs.Haha. That’s ridiculous.
I think it is a crying shame to reduce something like that pass from James down to numeric data.
It was a work of art not a number on a spreadsheet.
I can agree with that. If you are a smart club you catch the player at his last club so they keep the fans once the player retires from top tier football. As an F1 fan I liked Jenson Button so cheered him on in many teams but I also was just a McLaren fan. F1 is weird for support. If Lando can just stay at McLaren for his career it will make my life easier. Maybe Colombians are the same, follow James but also have thier own club too.It feels like Colombia might follow the players they love more than the club. So who ever JR plays for us who they follow.. wonder if there is any truth in that.
