But in the context of our recent history and the past 30 years, it is completely mental. There's no harm in admitting how it feels

More an indication of how far we have fallen since the inception of the Premier League than anything, I doubt anyone under 30 thinks of us as a big club, despite having more league titles than the new money clubs City and Chelsea. We do need to arrest the slide though and put these upstarts in their place haha.

It doesn't feel mental to me at all though. It's boss, but this is what Moshiri has been trying to do for years now. If you show ambition consistently, these things start to happen.

We are a victim of our form since the Prem League was formed and the game in England became global. Most people see us as a mid table team even though those steeped in the English game know the history and pedigree of the club.

Appointing Ancelotti was a masterstroke. He immediately lent the club a credibility it hasn’t had in years. If we have a good season then I’d expect more absolutely top quality signings like James while Don Carlo is here.
