Pickford did a no look tackle on VVD. Was far more impressive than anything Thiago did.
Yeah tbf, living in Australia I’m probably not seeing a lot of the media bias. I personally thought Thiago & Henderson were the difference in the quality between the two sides.
But Rodriguez despite not having his best game (which I think in part was due to our midfield losing the battle and James being forced to try and go with Robertson & Mane defensively) I still felt was the most dangerous of the 6 attacking players on the pitch.

Could have had two assists and he assisted the assister This lad is the difference. All he needs is a few seconds on the ball and he can single handedly make a key pass to determine a game.
And quality wise I think we might just have the best passer in the premier league. De Bruyne does a lot of other things better than James but pure passing, especially those cut in, lofted balls over the top. Not sure there is anyone better.
Keen eye on Ziyech from Chelsea, think he might be the closest to Rodriguez in style of play. Will be very interesting to see how those 2 match up.
