His goal, the cross for the 5th and the chip for the 3rd were fantastic, but there was a through ball to Digne in the box which Digne unfortunately mis-controlled which was every bit as good.

He's so good you could potentially forget moments of genuinely world class play. Can't believe I'm saying this about an Everton player after these last few years.

That ball, I just couldn't get over how unreal it was. Lucas Digne, who used to play with Messi at Barcelona, couldn't believe it made its way through so cleanly. Absolutely ridiculous stuff.

As much as I love Kanchelskis (and I do - he’s one of my 3 favourite Everton players in my memory), I don’t think he was of the level of sheer quality and ability that Rodriguez is. Nowhere near the same standing in the world game either.
