Dont see a problem with the statement tbh.
Lets not kid ourselves if it was Iwobi there wouldnt be a peep from Nigeria's medical team such as his irrelevence.

We knew before he signed James is Top Box Office and gives the club way more exposure than anyone we have every had.
Anyone knocking the club are firmly in the "too cool for school" dept.
When you sign someone like this wether you like it or not , it goes with the territory.

He was worth it for that through ball at Anfield alone.
 

Not really bothered if he plays for his country or not. If he’d put together any sort of string of appearances for us since November then he’d probably be in the squad.
 

I hope he stays

I mean I don’t even know if Carlo would wanna take him

but James needs to make his own path and stay here
