YEEEEEEEES

He’s back

@SiggyTheBlue aka @RickyRyder aka @Gylfi’sStalker

Your boy is utter turbo gash, as soon as he’s in the bin and no longer associated with this club everyone will be happy.

James Rodriguez laughs at him and you. So swivel
Sigurdsson might be ridiculously inconsistent but to say he is turbo gash is a bit off the mark. When he plays well he is a terrific footballer…watch the cup tie against Spurs for evidence of that.
If James is laughing at anyone then he’s laughing at the entire club. Picking up a huge wage to not be particularly bothered about playing at all. Extremely talented player yes, but zero commitment or interest.
Personally I doubt we will see him in an Everton shirt again.

I feel some what like you do on this but he is under contract. Cannot see him returning to Real to join their new manager.

I wouldn't be surprised to see James complete his pre-retirement move this summer with Carlo gone. LA or Miami for a few years seems to be in his future, although I figured that would in 2023 or 2024. Now that Colombia has moved on from him, he doesn't really need to play high level footie anymore.

I think MLS teams would pay 10-15M just for the Latin American marketing exposure and if I'm Everton I'm taking it. He's too fragile and not physical enough to make an impact in the PL for more than a few matches a season.

He might well do, but that doesn’t mean that Sigurdsson is gash, as you put it.
There are probably also plenty of professional footballers laughing at James now….no commitment, no energy, constant fatigue, and dropped by his national side.
Being talented is not enough by itself.
James might be one of the most talented or gifted players to ever put on our shirt. Maybe more so than our holy trinity of midfielders even. But people will remember them in our shirt for eternity. We will have forgotten that James even played for us in about five years. Same as Samuel Eto’o.

He his, but thanks for your opinion

Reminds me of boxers who win a title too early and lose the hunger. As Marvin Hagler said “It's tough to get out of bed to do roadwork at 5 am when you've been sleeping in silk pyjamas.”

That for me sums up James.

He was outstanding in the 2014 World Cup at 23 but unlike a Ronaldo or a Messi he simply hasn't had the desire to kick on.

he does pose a conundrum for the next manager

James is clearly an exceptional baller, but he can not stay fit

so, whoever it is needs to get the best out of him, without building the system around him as we can't rely on him

(as long as he stays that is)
