I think Joyce is basically pushing the article that the independent did a few days back where **6** players were up for sale including James.

Personally think its a crock of rubbish - James wouldn't be taking part in pre season with his injury record/tendency to throw tantrums if he was out the door.

If he does go someone like Coutinho will likely replace him anyway.

I would hate to see him go too and am dying to see him at goodison but it was clear from the start that he only came for Carlo who is like a daddy figure to him and to be brutally honest 140k a week (or whatever it is) for someone who wont play a full season, is very injury prone, leaves areas and players behind him exposed and advertises beds on a private jet before the season has even ended and his team mate are getting trounced is just a bit too much of a luxury for a club that is trying to balance its books and keep to ffp.

I feel like if we got a decent offer for him we'd listen, otherwise he'll stay.

As others have said, the 'vibe' he's giving off is that he's just happy doing his thing in pre-season. He'll obviously know far more than us around what the situation is either way.

i understand what you mean 140k a week is alot, hes a luxury player, however its not just football he brings to the club, he brings the international following and marketing opportunities. if you look at the revel video of james, it was in time square, columbia, all over the world.
