He's got to want to play , no coaxing or tickling his ego. I don't care how good people think he is, if he isn't going to commit to the club and more importantly to us the fans, who pay his astronomical wage, then not for me.
I've serious doubts as it stands , thinking back to the end of last season when he was a bit tired. . . This season not knowing who the club that pays your astronomical wage is playing.
I can totally understand the manager is reluctant to bring him into the squad.
Don't forget, it's the hard working fans who pay to support this club a good chunk of our wages
is spent travelling home and away, buying merchandise , for this young man to disrespect us , all of us now, pensioners, youngsters , basically our fan base and pocket 800 g a month. The least, and I mean the very least we should expect is commitment.
Not seeing it at the moment.

Does his NT want him? They were that bothered for the Copa. He needs to use that rejection as a motivation to work hard and get fit
Yes, he was about to be called for this month wc qualifier but his NT need clearance from Everton... since there is an issue that needs to settle between Everton and him.. i guess it issettled now.. it's ok for him to play the qualifier next round, months from now..

I've recently seen that he's now on 200k wages. We got a real source for this? Because failing something concrete I'm going to assume that's at least 50k high.
Wouldn’t surprise me if he was on 350-450k a week at Madrid and he took a massive paycut to join us

His wages were always going to be high because we got him for free and ancelotti wanted him hence why we only offered him a 2 year deal because we knew we can’t sustain such high wages on a long term basis.

200k a week sounds about right.

I'm not asking what makes sense I'm asking if there is a source. Because there are plenty of places that have figures and while none of them are 100% sure none of them also go above 150k a week. So for me the leap to 200k isn't really there to be made.

Was just playing a bit of Football Manager in my head and was thinking that this is a class side (assuming Rodriguez is up for it)

Pickford
Coleman Godfrey Mina Digne
Richarlison Allan Doucoure Gray
Rodriguez
Calvert-Lewin

Basically 4-4-1-1 with Rodriguez playing a free role behind DCL. Richy and Gray with pace on the wings, also the formation allowing Richarlison to cut in from the right which is arguably his better position.

He simply must play if we are to have any chance of offloading him in January. He will sit out for his entire contract otherwise.
He really just needs his agent to do his job and find him a suitable club if he wants to play. He won't get many chances here. The system requires everyone to press and contribute to defensive duties. James didn't do that when he was young and fit.

It's quite telling that, despite his natural talent, he couldn't find another club even though we seemed prepared to pay a chunk of his wages.

Now just imagine if we had a competent DoF and we bought a right back . A way past his best Coleman really stands out in that line up .
When his time comes up for his chance to have " a job for the boys " I'll be over the moon but I'll be less enthused if he continues to be our first choice in that position .

Completely agree. Utter dereliction of duty from Brands. We all love Seamus, but we all know he should be in the Baines 2019/2020 role right now.

Back on topic, can only hope the lure of maybe one last big move in January for James might fire him up for a few good performances between now and then.
