Wold class my arse.
Great comeback.
Again, I said as close to world class.

Wold class my arse.
Still feel sullied having to sit with home crowd to watch James in a Everton jersey at Old trafford. I feel robbed now he is staying. The nonsense talked about "I hope we all get to see him play at Goodison in the flesh".
In 20 more matchesWe finished 10th with him mate. And the player that can’t be named had the same goals/assists as him.
Samuel Eto`o is in a different league than JR. He is a true legend, and was among the best in the world in his position for several years.
Yeah that’s a good point. I don’t think we’ll see him starting but maybe if we’re struggling to unlock a team he gets sent on. With a bit of pace out wide these days, and him looking for those switches he was hitting regularly early last year, it would be something new for teams to deal with.I can't tell whether that was sarcastic or not but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it wasn't.
Many of us on here actually believe that this is a positive thing. That being used sparingly will actually make him available more often. The player himself probably wouldn't appreciate my saying that but I think it's true, and will enable us to get the most out of him.
Yes, but still managed to score 3 goals for Everton in 14 games. But what I am saying is that Eto`o on all parameters has been a more talented player than JR. Because JR is not the best player at Everton at the moment, nor was it last year. What is being talked about is usually the potential of JR, which is a theoretical discussion. In practice, it has been a long time since he has impressed anyone outside the inner core.Apart from when we signed him when he was 60 years old.

Never.
On what basis, for 5 goals in a World Cup?
His body of work is pretty average, not like he was pulling up trees in France, that World Cup got him the move to Real, and he was discarded to the bench soon after just like at Bayern.
I could name a 100 midfielders in the last 10 years who were better than him and "close to world class".
He's the epitome of a luxury player, doesn't run around much and you only notice him unless he scores a goal which isn't a lot.
