This is up there with the Besic Barrel of Lemons.

He's been in the yacht more than once, it's not very big, something between 60'-75' at the largest.

It may even be his (or a close friend), very feasible for a man of his means.

I'd wager he's floating somewhere around the balerics for the weekend.

I know I would be given the choice.

Beckham was an international superstar but no social media, that's the only difference. Mad if you don't think he was as big as James is.

You've misunderstood me.

In global terms, I agree that Beckham was every bit as big as James, maybe even bigger.

The point I was making in my original post was the adulation James has received in his own country from his fellow Colombians.

A much higher percentage of the population in Colombia are football crazy compared to England, and worship their national team.

Being revered globally isn't the same as being loved and adored by a large percentage of your own country's population. That's got to have an effect on a person's ego and the way they view the world.

Anyway, it was only a minor point in my original post, but I'm basically agreeing with your point. We were just looking at it from a different angle.

Is France a red list country?

Nope, amber, as is Spain

So is Portugal, but Ronaldo has just come in no problem and will be available for United

So i guess it all depends on vaccination status

From the Gov site for Amber list:

After you arrive in England you must take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2.

This applies if you’re fully vaccinated under either:

  • the UK vaccination programme
  • the UK vaccine programme overseas
  • an approved vaccination programme in Europe or the USA - not all are recognised in England
It also applies if you are:

  • taking part in an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial in the UK or the USA
  • under 18 and resident in the UK, a UK Overseas Territory, the USA or one of the specified European countries
If you will be in England for less than 2 days you still need to book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 test. You only need to take the test if you are still in England on day 2.

If you are not fully vaccinated

If you do not qualify under the fully vaccinated rules, on arrival in England you must:

  • quarantine at home or in the place you are staying for 10 days
  • take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2 and on or after day 8
Read about the fully vaccinated rules, quarantine and taking COVID-19 tests after arrival in England.

If you are in England for less than 10 days, you need to quarantine for the time you are here. You need to book day 2 and day 8 travel tests. You only need to take the tests if you are still in England.

Test to Release scheme

If you need to quarantine, you may be able to end quarantine early if you pay for a private COVID-19 test through the Test to Release scheme.

Given all of these trips will be club-authorised, I imagine that if any of the players aren't fully vaccinated, they'll be doing the 'test to release' thing

The players have been doing PCR tests twice weekly for 17 months now
