The controversy for me is that there are people who want to heap praise on a player who took his kecks down and shat on the club multiple times.

when has he “shat on the club”? i understand that he missed a game last season due to “fatigue” which didn’t sit well with many blues (myself included), i remember he might have missed the last couple of games as well to fly back to colombia / miami to see his family whilst injured (presumably with the clubs blessing). obviously after being made to train alone and being ostracised by Benitez his behaviour has not been exemplary but hardly anything too worrying?

Genuinely for a certain demographic of Everton fans (under 25) he will have been one of the best players we’ve seen in an Everton shirt.

He wasn't made to train alone tbf, that was lost in translation - it was when he had to isolate as a close contact of whoever caught covid at the club (the one that seemingly infected Godfrey)

I don't have an issue with the signings. I do have an issue that there's clearly no plan and it's just back whatever manager is here until they jib off or get jibbed off. That's not how the model we supposedly have is supposed to work.
