I mean, he could have gone to Turkey on his full wedge if he hated it so much here.

Rafael also said clearly last week that the club were trying to shift him even though we couldn't get a replacement in.

He's here so should be used in each squad he's available for. We aren't good enough yet to think otherwise. Add his quality on top of what we have atm and you're looking at a team that, for once, might just actually be able to challenge on several fronts. That's worth £93m a week fo anyone's money, and bid farewell to him at the end of the season.
True, but if he's rotten apple than the hole basket is in danger. I would like to see him in the squad, but only if he is prepared to give everything he have for the team. Right now I am not sure he is.

He's only here for the wages - he has to get fit to be useful, rumours are he is an upset around Finch Farm too.....
You are on the money there, Joey. We can agree with your thinking here. ?

It's not just that though and you know it.

He had the chance to move to Turkey the other week with us paying half of his wage so he wouldn't have dropped salary. He didn't want to go.

The club are desperate for him to leave because we're up the creek financially. That's on us.

It's completely a two-way streak. He's training just like the rest of them, he should be selected in the squads while he's here and fit.

He obviously doesn’t want to go to Turkey either, he wants to go to Spain or Italy but no one who could afford him wanted him. I don’t believe for one second you really think he wants to play for us. As good as he can be, an unhappy player knocking about the pitch will have nothing but a detrimental effect on the team.

No there aren't, Joey. He's actually a very popular member of the squad. Even personally, Benitez quite likes him apparently. There is clearly a professional clash.

If he was only here for the wages, he would have gone to Turkey, played football away from somewhere he hates so much, and got paid exactly the same wage as we agreed to cover half of his salary.

I don't think he's ecstatic to be here at all.

But he is here. Mbappe isn't ecstatic to be at PSG, he wants to be at Madrid. There's loads of players who would rather not be where they're currently at, but it's football and they just get on and play for the sides.

James quite literally hasn't been given a chance to do that for one reason or another.

The only time he was available before yesterday, the club were trying to get him off to Porto. It'd have been ridiculous for all parties to risk someone with his injury record playing in the Brighton game.

He absolutely should have been in the squad last night. He isn't going anywhere until January. Cenk Tosun wasn't wanted and didn't want to be here this time last season yet we finished the transfer window with him being our back up forward even though he was injured. So why in the world would you not utilise James?

This is so true. In the summer my mate, Walter, didn't want to go to Spain but wanted to go to Istanbul. These things do happen.

QPR have got a very heavy schedule in the Championship mate. They play Bournemouth tonight and our league cup game is sandwiched between games against WBA and Stoke, who sit first and third in the league. QPR are fourth.

I honestly believe there's a good chance they'll field a second string against us mate.
Hopefully. I know they are playing well at the moment, will see how important the manager sees the carabao I guess. I still think we should go strong though

He isn't, at all. I really, really, really don't know where this assumption has come from.

He's a popular member of the squad.

Just because a player isn't particularly thrilled to be at a club doesn't make them a bad person or a rotten apple. And the club haven't exactly shown him any commitment, they spent all window and then even after we couldn't get anyone in trying to ship him off.
