Well, depending on whose side you are on he wasn't involved because:

  1. The Manager hates him and wants to ruin his career.
  2. The player told the manager he wasn't feeling 100% so they decided not to risk him.
There can be absolutely NO MIDDLE GROUND in this thread, whose side are you on?

well he seems to think he is, much like a lot of last season, and the season before, and the season before….. He’s not backwards in coming forwards is he? He was happy to tell his “followers” and wannabe stalkers on twitch what was going on before so I’m sure he’ll feed those bedroom dwelling mongs a few titbits if this information is false.

Its pretty simple - he's just not as fit as the first 11, he doesn't have the same endurance or the same pace/acceleration and his recovery is slow. I don't see why people have to tear him down. Its not like he's suddenly going to run faster because Benitez tells him to, even if he gives 100% it might not be enough.

He could probably play league cup games, but playing him might also give him false hope that he might be involved. It's as simple as James not fitting Rafael's gameplan. It's unfortunate for James because he deserves to get gametime for a club, any club and now he's sitting around doing nothing. I think they probably should just loan him out and pay his full wages just so he can play.

Why should we do that?

Why should we allow him to go play somewhere else (Or enjoy their nice Physio room) at our expense for whatever salary he's on? Everton Football Club doesn't exist for the pleasure of James Rodriguez.

He'll either knuckle down and contribute or an exit strategy that suits all parties will be negotiated. We're skint (in so much as our ability to spend goes) as it is. He's out of contract at season end so even a small-ish saving paying him (for example 75%) of what's owed would help.

I am on neither side. I am not a fan of our manager or the player and his commitment levels.
