On one hand it's hard to take and he's a genuine world class player who brought a touch of magic to a pretty average side. On the other he sacked off the last game of the season in front of the fans so he could mess about jetting to Colombia. Stinks a bit of a player who deems himself unfit when he can't be arsed.
 

Would appear that tax in Qatar is a max of 10% - whereas James will have been paying 45% on his basic salary here (before image rights paid to a private company etc)

Some suggestions that he'll be on about £6m a year there, which (after tax) would be the same as about £10m per year here (about £200k per week)
