To be fair to Tarkowski, and any defender to be fair he's only as good as the players in front of him.
It must be hard being a defender for us when the ball just keeps on coming back to you on a constant basis.
We have nobody up top to slow play down and wait for the cavalry to arrive, we are pedestrian and devoid of any real ideas in the middle, also our passing is sketchy to say the least.
These lads work overtime because of the dross in front of them.
John Terry in his prime would be caught out playing for us, purely by the law of averages.
I think we have some decent centrebacks in the squad but boy they're over worked.

Did it? Didn't see any of our other players come out last game and say "we have some great defenders but they need to do better than this", tbh, and it "needed saying" as much as this does.

The defence was hopeless against Fulham. He should focus on his own job. That was only our second away clean sheet, not good enough.

Bit harsh that. The defence isn’t great, but if it wasn’t for some of our defenders scoring important goals in recent months we’d be even worse off! Our attack and so called creative players are shocking, and I’d be pee’d off if I was Tarks.

I don’t mind if it creates a bit of friction. Tarks isn’t a kid, he knows the impact of saying that on camera. I’d like Gray or whoever to front up and ask what he meant by that.

Doesn’t need to turn into unrest. Tell him to his face he’s better than what he’s showing and needs to do more. Drag him to the analysis room and shown him infinite clips of him bottling it after a couple of stepovers and laying the ball and responsibility off to someone else. Be a hero instead of sleepwalking onto the bench.

He’s every right to try and shame them into playing better. Without Coleman, Tarky and Keane we’d be 5 points worse off, and expecting your defenders to score winners/equalisers simply isn’t feasible when you’re scrapping for your lives. They need to step up bigtime these last 6 games.
