2024/25 James Tarkowski

What a mad selection of random boomer words.

What does this even mean mate? He wasn’t sent off when he absolutely should have been because he flew into a challenge after already clearing the ball and could very easily have broken a player’s leg.

How is any of that indicative of some perceived erosion of the halcyon days of old when players would spark up a well-earned woodbine after the game and wash it down with 7 pints of stout?
It was a proper tackle which he had every right to go for and every right to make.
Where is he supposed to go after making the tackle? Vanish into thin air?
Get up MacAllister, ye crying little piss-ant

It was probably a red, you can't follow through like that anymore in the modern game. We got a bit lucky. Tarks had a solid game overall.

I must admit that I like to see a bit of bite in a Derby so no complaints from me 😂

He throws these tackles in all the time but usually doesn't connect as much as he did tonight. Going back just 20 years it was great but now he's just begging for a sending off. Needs to pack it in.

I get the feeling he gets on quite well with refs as most give him the benefit of doubt on these calls.

Should've been sent off tonight, Southampton away when he cleaned out Archer was an "orange" card but a few refs would've shown a red, was lucky not to concede a penalty at home to Palace at 0-1 down when he went right through Mateta in the box and even the one that was given v Newcastle the ref just ignored looking right at it initially.

I get Moyes picking him for continuity and he's been better second half of the season but I think we're slowly going away from him just being an automatic pick given he dosen't have the history with Moyes compared to Dyche so interested to see what standard and experience the Keane replacement is.

Disingenuous that, mate. He’s an experienced player. He could have cleared that ball and not followed through with anything like the intensity he did, instead he decided to act the hard man and, but for a very lenient VAR/ref, leave us a man down at their place for 80 mins.

As is always the barometer for these things: Tell me you wouldn’t have been baying for blood if VVD had committed that exact challenge on one of ours.
