Big month in January for us. We need to sign 3 or 4 quality players, but to do this we need to sell. I would definitely consider selling McGeady, Pienaar and some other deadwood. We need a quality winger, centre back and a goalkeeper. Do what we do good and bring in some decent loans, have a good second half to the season and have a good push in Europe.

January sale needed. Mcgeady , piennar , distan all must go ... Need a goalkeeper. Time to invest in goalie for the future. Howard is almost mistake a game and Joel is just scary .. Need quality centre back and good winger. Back on track then
 
The current squad should be good enough, I'm not keen on lots of signings as it is more players to gel in, formations to work out.

If we have a decent amount of money available (in the £10m+ bracket) I would throw it at the very best goalie we could get for the money, let Howard become our no.2 and tell Robles to chuff off. Realistically though, I think we invested/gambled the entire pot on Lukaku.

You can't just sell people willy nilly. Especially in January. Use your head mate.

Who the christ would want to buy the 3 players you've mentioned?

we need someone at that sort of 28-30 age range tbh. stones should be first choice, but we can't have another youngster alongside him, and centre backs tend to peak a tad later.
 

McGeady could be good player in championship - not Good enough for us - 2-3 million and off our books - piennar injured to much offload as well - distan just finished so maybe have to keep him as back up - more money off payroll and free up some loan move money
 
mcgeady and pienaar are okay for backups, but we need another youngster (preferably play both wings) and another first choice like mirallas for me to be totally content with our options there. it's a squad game at the end of the day, people are a bit silly when they label half of our squad as "not top 4 standard". Even the players playing on the bench for teams in the top 4 aren't of that standard! we're not going to be able to have a full 25 man squad of players in or around champions league quality - there are only a handful of clubs in the world who have that - but we do have a good group who are of that standard as well as a fair amount who have looked at ease at europa level.
 
Really think people shouldn't be getting their hopes up...

Winger on loan is the height of my expectations...and that's only if we send Atsu back.
