Butland was impressive today for Stoke apparently.

Why we didn't sign him before Stoke did I'll never know, especially at £3m. Not saying he's a world beater like but he's clearly highly rated and that's cheap anyway.

I believe Garbutt to Liverpool is just a nonsense story. If Garbutt were to leave it would be to a team where he would be almost guaranteed
first team football. He would have less chance of playing first team football there than here.

I would like to wake up tomorrow morning to the news that we have re-signed Garbutt and Mirallas, brought in a new CB and a new CM - don't care if they are loans or permanents, as long as they are starting XI quality - and that we have sold Gibson and Alcaraz.

If we then ALSO bring in a new keeper and a RW before the end of the week, I'll be very pleased indeed.

There has been no talk of a contract on the table for Garbutt so it could be true that he is off.
