Jelavic's goal vs Hull? Absolute nowhere near it and got lobbed easily.

What corner has he turned? If making saves is corner turning for a professional goalkeeper, I suggest we set the bar a bit higher.

Howard doean't make any saves. Robles will only improve. Some of the saves he made last night Howard wouldn't have got near. Robles is improving. Howard is if anything only going to decline and his level is already poor. Roblea deserves half a season in the first team then we will see what level he us at.

Orly.
All keepers make mistakes. Joe Hart at the start of the season was making schoolboy errors and was dropped for a while. He is a current international and goalie for the league champions.
Robles is a young goalkeeper, thrown into the team because our first choice keeper(who normally gets picked for every game) was injured.
He is playing behind a defence that has been shipping soft goals all season. What was he supposed to do ?
Singlehandedly turn our already disappointing season around ?.
Ironically, since he has come into the team performances have started to noticeably improve throughout the team, if that has anything to do with the inclusion of Robles is a matter of opinon.

Howard doesn't make any saves.

Right, we've suspended reality here.

Not sure the obsession with jovetic amongst fans

He is pellegrinis first choice striker next to aguero and has played him when fit every single time. There is more chance of us signing dzeko than jovetic and even that is slim.

I work with a city fan so i know he is well thought of in ther team

In the pub I was in on Saturday there were quite a few City fans saying they don't rate Jovetic before the game.

He then proceeded to blaze about ten shots over the bar.

I'd definitely rather have Dzeko anyway, I like him.

Is that really true though?

He came on for Howard in the Stoke game.

He played in the Hull, City and Newcastle games.

So on league form, he's played in two and a half defeats and a draw. He's conceded 6 league goals in his 3 and a half league games.

fantastic last night, not a viable long term solution.

Don't fancy all these loan shouts one bit. In Januzai's case, what's the point really, it only benefit's Utd really, if he has a stormer of a second half of season for us, they will keep him. I would only loan him if we had option to buy him at season's end.The calibre of player linked is also not up to scratch, Lennon looked promising a few years back but is gash atm. January doesn't seem to be the best time to do business either. We need a player that isn't cup tied for Europa league and he needs to be an improvement on what we have. The last thing I want to see is another Aiden McGeady type signing, cheap deal at the time but no improvement in what we already had.

We should be targeting players that are nearly out of contract, Konoplyanka, Delph, spring to mind. And if possible add a world class winger like Depay, if we need to wait until the summer to do this then so be it.

If we sign Januzaj on loan and he has a stormer of a second half of the season, that doesn't benefit us? Surely it would.

*I don't think we will sign him.

Sorry yes of course it would benefit us, but I don't want it, Del Boy had a great impact for us last year, but it just put him in the shop window for someone else. Barry was brilliant for us last year, it meant loads of interest for him in the summer, it forced our hand into giving him a three year contract. If Martinez fancies a player then he should just try and sign him or loan with an immediate option to buy.

I agree with people only wanting loans with an option to buy but let's face it - our season is derailing fast and we need a boost wherever that comes from. If we loan the next Messi till May and never see him in our shirt again but he pulls us back up the table and keeps us going in Europe, would we moan? No would we balls.

Anyone think that Scott Sinclair could be a decent option. We know he plays well in teams that like to keep the ball from his time at Swansea and he is still fairly young. Could be available for about 3 mil. He has to be a more viable option on the wings than what is being touted at present.

Better than what we have so yes
