Pienaar goes to Sociedad and we pay half his wages, eto'o to sampdoria for nothing, nobody comes in, everton beat palace and Liverpool - we are all happy again.
Or a couple more injuries / suspensions, 2 defeats ...Chelsea next up we'ed be lucky to put a team out against them.
Unless reinforcements are brought in its worrying times.

Couple our defence with the need for reinforcements im sure adolf hitler or OJ's Lawyer would struggle to mount a huge defence against Chelsea.

How does FFP wages vs turnover/revenue or whatever get calculated? Could finishing lower mean we need a lower wage bill?

FFP has nothing to do with it. What scenario could take place under current ownership which results in us spending more than we bring in? Finishing lower will absolutely mean less money for transfers and wages but not because of FFP ... it's because the only money we have to spend is money the club generates.

So yeah, to tie it back in to this thread, you could look at recent moves both realized and rumored and see them as salary dumps to make way for replacements (either now or more likely in the summer). It's a gamble (because could those players help us gain in the league v. saved wages) but everything is a gamble when you live as close to the edge financially as we do.

no-one entire world has any idea...and DEFINITELY no-one on this forum...

Eh, I think we have a vague idea, basically can't outspend your revenue. The answer is probably something along the lines of yes, it might hurt us a little, but I don't think we're pushing our FFP limits as is... we had a massive profit last year.
