I would love Konoplyanka here. I remember seeing him against England years ago, and he was top class then. I was gutted when Liverpool were linked with him.

If we could get him on a pre contract it would be superb. I suppose my only question is, why wouldn't another club (Spurs/Liverpool) do the deal now?

Rodgers heard he was going cheap, which totally goes against his philosophy of paying inflated fees for over rated shabite.

Spurs offered Lennon in part exchange, which has caused the entire population of the Ukraine to split their sides laughing, they are that happy that a peace deal in the East of the country is now being mooted.

I love deadline day me. This is the first window where I won't be too arsed if we don't get anyone in. I would like a player or 2 in to freshen up the squad and be a boost for fans and players but if it doesn't happen I won't be too downbeat. Getting Howard, Gibson and McCarthy back is just like having 3 new sig.........who am I kidding SIGN SOMEONE BOBBY YOU SPANISH CLOWN!!!!!!

We can offer a starting role for Konoplyanka. Poor old Spurs and RS can't.

I really hope so mate! It would be an excellent signing if true.

They can offer more money for his wages.

Maybe. But we can give him a very good wage whilst offering him a starting place every week. With Eto'o gone we can quite comfortably afford £60-70k a week to give him, as well as a starting place. He'd be very tempted IMO.
