Heard reports that we are looking at 20 year old Slovakian attacking midfielder from Legia Warsaw Ondrej Duda seems like we already have a young attaicking midfielder seems like a wasted addition to me need more focus on wing and defence...Your opinions?
He's nowhere near the level required for a Premier League football.

Would love to see either Konoplyenka or Ayew signed up cheap or on pre contact agreements but there's bound to be a lot of competition for their signatures. Another winger that is out of contract this summer is Balazs Dzsudzsak from Dinamo Moscow, we were linked with him earlier this year, he's got 58 caps for Hungary so I guess @Hungariansupport @Hungariansupporter will know all about him?

Yeah, he's among the very few Hungarians who actually can play football. Dinamo wants to have a big sweep in the team (lower their expenses) and Dzsudzsák is among the 3 players with the biggest salaries so they might want to get rid of him (altough he's one their best players). I like his play but don't think he could cope with PL, not above Eredivisie standard: he's got a great foot, good free kicks but physically and mentally he is far from that. But maybe You'll bump to them at EL and can check it out personally. :-)

Very honest assesment of him imo.

Thanks for the feedback mate, probuably one to swerve then, nothing against Russia, apparently our fans that went to Krasnodar had a good time but we could do with avoiding a Febuary trip to Moscow, Dinamo will be the longest journey for us that we could draw and it'll be bloody cold by then.

Moscow rarely gets below about -12, there are colder places we could draw.

yeah i've seen this one doing the rounds, interesting.did he choose to leave us or did we sell him to Norwich ?

He went out on loan about 8/9 times whilst with us, I think got fed up moving around in the end and asked to be allowed to leave so he could settle in an area, Moyes agreed he could go, pretty sure we got some sort of fee for him from Norwich, £500k -£1m ish iirc.

We sold him I think, and he's turned out to be very solid indeed. From what I've seen, doesn't get caught out by long shots like Howard does, and doesn't go down too early either. Feel like he's less mistake prone, consistent if unspectacular. Which is what I'd say we need.

I would personally prefer a outstanding shot stopper and at times howard can be that.

Best example i mean is carlo cuidicini when he was at chelsea. they rated chech over him. But carlo was a fantastic shot stopper and could save points for chelsea by himself, even if his replacement was rated higher.

I may be wrong, but I don't think he'd make nearly as many silly mistakes as Howard does. I'll take not getting beaten at the near post so often over the odd world class game.

John Ruddy touted for £4m, we could do a lot worse. Would personally slot him straight into the first team.

Can't see much point in replacing a good goalie with an average to good goalie? Howard is a good goalie but we can do so much better, next time we recruit a new goalie it has to be the top notch real deal otherwise we might as well keep what we have.

Aye. Im not disagreeing about him perhaps being better for us. A dependable keeper is what you build a team on.

I just prefer a keeper who can pull out the fantastic more than once or twice a season. I want my keeper in the dying seconds of the cup final to make that one decisive save out of nothing to win us the game rather than simply depending on them to clear everything up.

But ruddy may be a better keeper overall than howard or cudicini or any of them for his all round game and i wouldn't be too disapointed if we signed him as first choice.
