Would love it if we got rid of Distin and had a replacement prepared. As long as we've contacted the FA about it and sent the forms we've got until 1 am to complete the transfer. Would be a good day imo if that happens.

details please.

Barton was talking about players playing for United (Jones, Evans, Rafael and Smalling) who were not world class, he said to Neville "You made a career out of not being world class". He was quite interesting, also commenting that if Moyes was still manager on United he would be hounded for the level of performance and that Van Gaal is being given undue time and credit.

cheers mate.

I wouldn't say massive because some of the older players will still be here,we will need a GK,CB,WINGER plus a couple of squad players,if we keep who we have.Who do you think will leave?.
Squad fillers wise we need alot. Obviously we need a first choice winger, then imo we'll need to replace Distin, Alcaraz, Howard, Hibbert and Pienaar as a minimum.

My problem with it is, its another average player added to the squad, its another unimaginative signing from Martinez....one or two is fine but suddenly our squad is being filled with average players not good enough for top 6 teams (which is what we're suppose to be).....

Robles, alcaraz, kone, mcgeady, Lennon, atsu....

Had hoped Martinez knowledge of world football would have lead to better than that....moyes was regularly pulling coup signings out of nowhere...arteta, mirallas, fellaini, pienaar, Cahill, lescott, Coleman, Baines.....all bargains and all great signings for us....Martinez scouting system doesn't seem to be up to much....
You believe what you just typed?

Moyes pulling coups?? We'd never heard of Arteta, Fellaini, Pienaar, Coleman before moyes signed them and Mirallas, Cahill, Lescott and Baines could all have failed quite easily..

A lot of prem teams would have all the Martinez players you've mentioned.

That was over 11 years plus Fellaini was big big money for a player in that position. Martinez has had 18 months and he has signed.

Martinez has already signed Besic and McCarthy and Joel could turn into a real good signing as well.

That said I sort of agree but I'll give him another summer at the very least before I make any judgment.

Absolutely let down about Nyland. The is the Butland situation all over again. We've refused to meet their price. It's probably only £1m more than what we wanted to pay, yet we're being tight again and another top talent will pass by. He'll sign for someone else in the summer and we'll be stuck with Chris f*cking Kirkland or someone as a backup to Joel.

Butland is crap mate.
