You said it isn't easy to sell players on high wages...I underlined three cases where Brands couldn't shift out permanently players on less than high wags. THAT'S what it had to do with it.

It's also not that easy to sell crap players.

That's a very simple way of looking at it and you know that. Some of the deals could turn into sales, some the players are out of contract so selling them was not going to net much money anyway and above all the goal was more to get bodies out of the squad so it was more manageable and so wages were lower.

And as I said we spent plenty and signing more players would have been too much turnover. We didn't need more to spend so getting more wasn't the goal.

It feels like we could win the League and CL double and Dave would be on here talking about how Roberto never got a fair chance and Brands didn't sell Klaassen for more than what we paid.
