much appreciated pal. You will have more time now to study the nags....well here we go, day 31 of the window means it’s Deadline Day. Here’s the final January Toffee Transfer rumour round-up on this Thursday morning;
- The status of the Idrissa Gueye transfer situation depends on which rumour you read. The Telegraph report Everton are adamant the midfielder is not for sale, whilst Sky Sports continue to link him with PSG, Arsenal and Manchester City. The Mail suggests the 29 year old has reiterated his desire to join PSG but the clubs remain apart on his £35m valuation. French outlet, ‘Paris United’, claim a deal had been agreed until the Toffees Manager, Marco Silva, threatened to resign if the Senegal international left.
- According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton winger Yannick Bolasie could face Deadline Day disappointment because reported interest from Newcastle and Crystal Palace has failed to progress. The Mirror, however, say Cardiff are eyeing a move for the 29 year old.
- Guardian reporter, Ed Aarons, suggests Everton are confident of agreeing a deal for Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi. The Guardian reckon Everton have been quoted £35m for the 25 year old Belgian, whilst the Star says he will only move if the Toffees can sell Cenk Tosun.
- The Irish Independent report Everton midfielder, James McCarthy, is close to a Deadline Day loan move to Crystal Palace.
- The Mail says Southampton and Everton target, Rabbi Matondo, is joining Schalke 04 from Manchester City.
- Newspapers O Jogo and A Bola suggest there was an Everton presence at Benfica’s match with Boavista on Tuesday night, but they are uncertain who the target is.
